Who we are
Dennis Ceppa, former Penn State University coach, took over the helm at The Fulcrum Guy in 2021. After a 27 year coaching career, at times including concurrent stints as an educator (engineering) and high diving stuntman, Dennis decided to use this experience to lead The Fulcrum Guy into it's next chapter. Dennis relieved Larry May, the founder of the company who after 25 years of coaching and watching his athletes compete on equipment ranging from good to barely serviceable and sometimes even dangerous, realized that facilities needed an expert. Larry took the time to seek out the necessary training, and this was the birth of The Fulcrum Guy. With Larry as a continuing consultant when needed, The Fulcrum Guy has over over 50 years of coaching experience and understanding to its credit. No other diving maintenance company has as solid a foundation and understanding of what the diving community truly needs of its facilities.

Lisa Heiser, previously in pharmacy, is an asset in the office and on the road at times. The attention to detail Lisa required in the pharmacy, and now brings to us, has made her a true gift and a great fit. She keeps us in line and focused!

Seth Ingram, former stuntman who also maintained the sets he worked on, brings a fresh perspective to The Fulcrum Guy shop. His mechanical understanding, coupled with his willingness to learn, are true assets in all we do here. Seth has already enabled us to take on even more exciting opportunities as they arose.

Fun Facts:
Larry and Dennis have coached at the High School, NCAA DI, USA Diving JR / SR, and FINA levels. Together they've coached numerous high school state and national champions, USA Diving Junior and Senior national champions, 13 NCAA DI zone champions, 5 NCAA All-Americans, 2 Olympic trial finalist, and have represented team USA at the FINA Grand Prix, Pan American Games, Diving World Series, and FINA World Championships.

The mission of The Fulcrum Guy is to make certain that all divers and coaches, from beginner to elite athletes, recreation patronage, and aquatic administration have appropriate facilities and equipment available to ensure a safe, enjoyable and productive training or recreational diving experience.
